I started a long reply and I had to do something and lost it.... better off starting over as I wasn't as nice as I am going to be on this attempt. OK, (big breath) This biz has a high learning curve, the more you expand, the more you need to know. Without any background or very little, it's a longer walk down the learning path. Now some guys can get away with it because they have a mechanical way of thinking and can dissect each step. This stuff isn't rocket science and can go really smoothly. It's when a problem shows it ugly head  (hitting the proverbial wall) and to then have the answers. My nose has been bent so many times hitting that wall. Those mistakes I never forget and never repeat. I take stride in keeping my calm to "learn" from that mistake to better myself for the next project.

A couple of suggestions:
Don't threaten to leave. Threatening to leave will only get you "don't let the door hit you in your...." response.
Don't wait till the day before to get answers that you should have had way before taking on this project.
Label ALL your buckets, mixing bowels,delivery bucket,  products, even the paint sticks you are scraping the side walls of A/B (if you are mixing RE in one of the components). I have a BIG magic marker and make it   Mr. Obvious   to my mixer man.
Have a plan ready if you see air bubbles/fish eyes forming.
Have plenty of product available.
Have an information source on speed dial for questions to be answered asap. (Pre-call and have that set up).

That's just a couple..... My biggest pep peeves are "This product sucks,  it's miss-labeled,...... and the number ONE is: I thought the sealer would change the color (lighter, darker, more brown, more red, greener)..........sheeesh. Good luck with whomever you switch to.
