I am quoting a job to repair an awful concrete stamp job around a pool. The existing stamp pattern is chipping and pot-holing in many places. Also some sort of sealer is delaminating all over the place.
My plan is to scarify the deck to remove the old stamp pattern and start with a clean slate. Then replace with a thin stamp overlay.
My question is: Is taking as much as 1/4" of the top too much for a scarifer to handle? Would it take forever to do? Or could I strip the sealer off some way and put TP right on top of the existing stamp pattern to cover it up.
Any help or comments would be very appreciated.
