How about I find you one and you just pay for me to deliver it in person. Might need to stay for a week or 2 though just to make sure you like it.

Now that would a hoot. I have been mooping around here because I decided not to fly up to the Oshkosh, WI. fly-in this year. Well, they are not allowing anyone to fly in as everything is under water. A major storm went through and drenched everything. I decided to not try to fly to Illinois to Cushing Field this weekend to a pre-Oshkosh party with a bunch of like flyers. 2 aircraft were trashed there during the storm with 50 mph straight line ground winds.
Yesterday we had a guy stop by at my buddies airport that was heading up there. Was flying from southern Florida and was only getting 20 mph ground speed. He hung around till late evening and took off when the winds calmed down. Made it to Cushing Field just behind the storm front. Sometimes it's a lot of work having fun...... gene ec-Indy |

Hey Dirk, went flying and was following a curvy river about 3' off the water. I came around a long bend and there was a sand bar. I landed on it and skipped some stones across the river. When I took off I flipped a rock into my prop. New prop: $950.00. ugh.....

Gene sorry to hear about your prop, this is the draw back of having you prop behind you , my friend and I usually fix small knicks with a special epoxy and then sand it down , so I guess yours was a lot worst.

The old one was as Arplast. "Plastic" covered foam core. They tend to separate when your prop gets close to super sonic air speeds. Switching to a carbon fiber Warp Drive. Dings can be repaired with super glue and baking soda mix.
I apologize to others out there as this is off topic. I just don't get to talk "flying" much except when I'm training some one. gene ec-Indy |

I didn't know that was offered in advanced training. All you taught us was some blah blah blah TF, TP, MF, Epoxy. I feel slighted! LOL

Ha..... I used to be as flight instructor. Once the FAA got their hands on ultralights on certification, the liability increased sharply. I quit training. Still may one of these years because I kept my aircraft certified as a trainer. I'm moving to a hangar next door to my shop so who knows, that "could" become part of the training. We'll fly over a couple of projects I've completed near by. I've promised you a flight Bruce...... just let me know when you want to collect! gene ec-Indy
