Posts: 16 05/20/10 03:22 PM	Tags : None I would like some reccomendations for a matte finish, durable sealer to use on an countertop overlay. Possible combinations?? I have only ever used EC epoxy or Spartic All on the ones I have done but would like to experiment with more natural finish. I would certainly appreciate any suggestions.

Posts: 401 05/31/10 08:18 PM	Only use epoxy if you need build or leveling, it helps to bring an uneven surface back to even but not really natural. A thinner build coating like SPARTIC-ALL or AUS will look more natural. There are flatting agents that can be used with thin coats or you can experiment with buffing the coating with a gray Scotch Brite Pad to take the high sheen off. I have had some luck with cutting a circle out of a gray Scotch Brite and using it under my Bosch random orbit sander.
