nice washer attachment !
how did you get the blue tape to stick to a wet wall? what you fill the expansion joint with? ouch....becareful with those sharp corner edge steel trowels ! think i did my first job with one i now use a plastic pool trowel, love the curved edges and the off center handle ! try one ! Dr K,
A minute or two with the leaf blower and a quick wipe with a dry rag and the wall was dry enough for the blue tape. I didn't fill the expansion joint - I just used the tile scribe to clean it out.

I'm using a regular tile scribe that you can find at Home Depot (here's
the link) and a right angle square.

first off thanks for posting your opinion...it helps newbies like me a great deal.. I just finished seminar today, purchased product, and will start on skip trowel application tomorrow! you can scribe tf after 2 coats...do you have a color sequence for this project? thanks tim

Check-out this post on a job just like that patio that I did last year - I give the color combo in reply #15
Also, I recommend using 1/4" fiber tape now instead of the tile scribe (get the pattern right BEFORE you do the trowel down - plus you get much better lines) See this link from a post I did last year Hope this helps!
