So I was looking at buying a Shark and maybe a Barracuda, but at $1200 and $800 I decided to see if any other options where available. NorthernTool & Equipment had a slew of needle scalers that operated on the same principal. Sure they weren't billet aluminum, but they averaged about $125. So I picked up an Ingersoll IR125. I scaled some concrete with it and with a little practice I got pretty similar results to images and videos I've seen of Engrave-a-cretes products. The ONLY thing I might find a difference with is the fact that Engraveacrete's scalers use thinner needles.
So, anyone wanna give their two cents?
