What were the products used for the top and why would you not want to use portland with a little micro spheres mixed in. I grind under the slab to pull color up and mix with portland if I have a color match to deal with. The Micro Finish can be used but it's in a white cement base and will cause many headaches matching color. If you have used our products to pour the slab then by all means use the MF. It will shrink but so will raw portland. Again, the micro spheres help reduce the shrinkage. gene ec-Indy

This is an old post but I'm replying because someone may find my advice useful.
Method #1 (used for filling floor pinholes too - use dust from grinding as a pigment): CSA cement + Acryl 60 + pigment to match color. This needs to be in a peanut butter consistency slurry. Wet the countertop. Put a worn resin pad on your grinder. Work the slurry over the entire countertop using the grinder as if grinding. Next day - remove slurry only (do not grind the countertop down) using a 200 grin resin. Done Metod #2: Using Cenospheres: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRsMt0QLKIg --Nick |
