Posts: 3 03/24/10 08:27 PM	Tags : None I have a customer that would like the Clemson tiger paw overlayed on his pool deck. I was thinking of mixing yellow and red SYPP to get the orange and then splattering it on. Does this sound like it might work? Any ideas how at what ratios to mix to get a bright orange color? Thanks, PS- This is an awesome forum.

Posts: 2629 03/27/10 03:59 PM	I thought I responded to this. Google "color wheel". It gives you a visual of warm and cold colors. Complimentary colors. What primary colors make secondary colors...... it really helps the brain dead... I can't put 2 colors together kinda guy like me. gene ec-Indy

Posts: 2630 03/28/10 07:41 AM	Yellow & Blue make Green Blue & Red make Purple Red & Yellow make Orange Red & Blue make Black HUE: Actual color with it's intensity measured by it's purity or saturation of the color. TINT: A color mixed with white, the more, the lighter it's value. SHADE: A color mixed with black, the more, the darker the value. TONE: A color mixed with grey. Related colors are the ones next to each other on the color wheel. Complementary colors are those that are opposite each other one the color wheel. Warm colors are in the yellows, oranges, reds Cool colors are the blues, greens, violets Neutrals are the greys, whites, blacks, beiges and creams. Go to an art store and purchase a color wheel. Pulling one off the internet will get you into trouble sometimes, depending on your printer. It really does help me a bunch. gene ec-Indy

Posts: 14 04/12/10 09:29 PM	If all else fails there are paint stores that will tint your sealer, some even have tintable sealers and you just pick out their color.
