Looks awsome! Texture, color, stones, everything.
Would you mind posting steps, techniques, etc. in the trained forum? Thanks, Dave |

I'm with dljbelle. Your projects are always second to none. I have lots of questions also. If you are going to post tips and techniques in the trained area, I along with many others, would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!!

dljbelle & Braceman, I really appreciate your comments and interest in my vertical work! I am self taught and through lots of research & development and trial & error, I have developed a system that keeps getting better as I work at it. I'm not sure, but keep in mind ,that posting my techniques may be disrespectful towards EC distributor's that host vertical classes. Seems like a secretive industry, lots of video's and classes for sale, but nobody is giving information out for free. I never had the extra cash to invest in vertical training so I probably do things a little different than what is being taught in class. Don't get me wrong I would love to share some things, I just want to make sure it's done the rite way so no one gets teed off and posts get deleted.
Hopefully geno will chime in and give us some guidance. We might be able to meet in the chat room and exchange mix designs and techniques or maybe I can give my number out and we can talk vertical? I'll get back with ya.............Shoes |

Hey Shoes, looks great. don't think you will catch any flack about posting your tech info as your own methods and not as a EC endorsed process. That is what this site is for, so that the people in the field can exchange info and skills can be furthered. All new development is spurred forward by progress. If we at EC (installers that is) are to remain at the top of our industry we must stay at the cutting edge of development. If we are not moving forward then we are being passed by someone who is. The job you did looks great. Is it profitable in relation to other things,(trowels, stamps, splatters) in a $ vs hours sense. It looks like it was very time consuming. Oh well enough of the soap box. Good Luck!

Guys if you are going to start talking mixes, costs and such, take it to the contractors forum. I don't have a problem with you sharing your vertical as the classes I teach have a different look and it's what you do after applying the material I try to show people. The mix design may all be a moot point soon anyway. gene ec-Indy
