My partner and I are starting a new EC overlay business. We are looking into different ways to market the business. One idea we have is to approach some flooring retailers and offer our services. They would sell the overlay and we would essentially become subcontractors and do the work. I have some reservations about this idea though -- namely the lack of control over estimating jobs and a reduced profit margin. Has anyone attempted this or have any thoughts regarding this approach? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
