I use PT1 fast set because my arm gets tired chasing the dribbles. Just kidding. You wont get the depth and have to apply it thin. You can play with the part B loading a little heavier to cause a faster set rate but will need to pay attention to application time. Oh..... did I just say that? Anyway, since this wont be a  wear surface you can get away with it. Loading the part B a little heavier will cause a more brittle product. Not to be done on a wear surface. On stair case risers, I would maybe go with the PT1 fast set with no mods. You don't want some big booted goof ball shattering your epoxy on the risers. (Small areas, wait till it just starts to get a little warm and then apply.....quickly).
