Also, I recommend using 1/4" fiber tape now instead of the tile scribe (get the pattern right BEFORE you do the trowel down - plus you get much better lines)

you can scribe tf after 2 coats...do you have a color sequence for this project?

A minute or two with the leaf blower and a quick wipe with a dry rag and the wall was dry enough for the blue tape. I didn't fill the expansion joint - I just used the tile scribe to clean it out.

ouch....becareful with those sharp corner edge steel trowels !
think i did my first job with one
i now use a plastic pool trowel,
love the curved edges and the off center handle !
